However, at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival, The Europe fund (the Hong Kong-Europe-Asian Film Collaboration Funding Scheme), announced award grants of up to HK$9 million (approx. $1.1 million) to film projects co-produced between a European territory and Hong Kong. Part of the stipulation is that 30% of the below-the-line cost must be spent in Hong Kong.
